Surrounded By Abuse
In a split second, our trust and belief in the good of others can be stripped away from us.
Our minds are there to protect us and provide us with knowledge but when we are overwhelmed by situations of grief and pain, that protection becomes more of a dark spot in our lives.
We block out the pain, we push the anger in a black hole and we try to pretend like what happened to us didn’t really happen at all.
More often than not, this is the result of an event caused by someone we put our trust and faith into, someone we felt safe with.
When that sense of belonging gets taken away, it can feel like we’re all alone in a chaotic world.
The voice we have becomes soft and silenced yet if we practice and focus on the love in our lives, that voice comes back louder and stronger than ever.
